Не плутайте два різні ELD-дедлайни

Практичні наслідки для українських водіїв
Відкликання застосовується за конкретним device, а не за citizenship, мовою або immigration status водія. Назва provider UZB2USA сама по собі не означає, що enforcement спрямоване на узбецьких, українських чи інших immigrant drivers. Українському company driver варто сфотографувати About або Device Information screen із model та identifier, надіслати його safety department і письмово уточнити temporary logging procedure. Owner-operator має сам перевірити FMCSA list, зберегти попередні HOS records та переконатися, що replacement правильно підключений до truck і carrier account.

Which five ELDs were revoked
On August 6, 2026, FMCSA moved five devices to the Revoked Devices list for failing to meet the minimum requirements of 49 CFR Part 395: MOONLIGHT ELD by UZB2USA INC, model MRS, identifier MRS255; HGRS ELD by HGRS, model HGR, identifier HRS169; HIGHEST ELD, model HIG4ES, identifier HIG385; TRUCKFORD ELD by Truckford ELD, model TRS, identifier TRS263; and Sparkle ELD by Spark Technologies Inc., model PT40SIM, identifier SPARK6. Verify the device name, model and ELD identifier together because a similar app name is not enough.
What carriers should do now
FMCSA directs motor carriers to discontinue the revoked devices and revert to paper logs or logging software to maintain required hours-of-service records. At the same time, the carrier should select a device from the current Registered Devices list, preserve and transfer required records and driver profiles, and train drivers on the replacement ELD. Do not wait until the final day: a vendor may correct the deficiencies and have a device restored to the registered list, but FMCSA expressly recommends acting now to avoid compliance problems.
What applies before October 6
Before October 6, safety officials are encouraged not to cite 395.8(a)(1) for no record of duty status or 395.22(a) for failure to use a registered ELD solely because one of these five devices is in use. An inspector may instead review paper logs, logging software or the ELD display as a backup. This does not waive hours-of-service limits or permit operation without accurate records; the driver must have a current and accessible record of duty status.
What happens beginning October 6
Beginning October 6, a carrier that continues using any of these five revoked ELDs will be treated as operating without an ELD. FMCSA instructs safety officials to cite 395.8(a)(1), and the driver may be placed out of service under the CVSA Out-of-Service Criteria. The replacement must be completed before that date, not started on the day of an inspection.
Do not confuse the two ELD deadlines
This bulletin is a separate new revocation wave. For the 10 ELDs FMCSA revoked on July 9, the earlier replacement deadline remains September 8, 2026. For the five devices in the August 6 bulletin, the deadline is before October 6. A carrier with multiple trucks or ELD vendors should check each unit separately and must not apply the later deadline to a device on the earlier list.
Practical implications for Ukrainian drivers
The revocation applies to the specific device, not to a driver’s citizenship, language or immigration status. The provider name UZB2USA does not by itself mean enforcement targets Uzbek, Ukrainian or other immigrant drivers. A Ukrainian company driver should photograph the About or Device Information screen showing the model and identifier, send it to the safety department, and obtain the temporary logging procedure in writing. An owner-operator should personally check the FMCSA list, preserve prior HOS records, and confirm that the replacement is correctly connected to the truck and carrier account.
